Song: Circus Of Fear (Patterns 1.5, 2012)

Song: Caught (In The Pressure Cooker) (The Way it Should Be, 2013)

Biography:
The Way It Should Be… It is a sentence that is commonly used to describe what is regular or what is considered to be normal. The irony cannot be greater, as this sentence is the title of Mind:Soul’s debut-album. And even if people love- or hate the music, one thing is for sure: This music sure as hell isn’t regular.

Mind:Soul is a band from Amersfoort, Leiden & Hilversum. (The Netherlands) With songs that contain Metal, Pop, Rock, Ambient, Ska and Reggae it’s safe to say that the band is not easily classifiable by conventional labels. Yet, the band chose the label Progressive Metal for their music to point out their musical diversity and open mindedness regarding music in general.

Now in 2014, the band consists of Inca César on drums, Joey Klerkx on Bass and Vocals, Müşfik Can Müftüoğlu on Guitars, Stefan van Leeuwenstijn on Guitars & Tom de Wit on Lead Vocals.

Since the band’s inception in 2010, they have released two EP’s and a DVD which were all released by Layered Reality Productions. The band has been through several line-up changes over the years and they saw musicians come and go such as Jim O.S. Ilden on Guitars, Raul Tamas on Drums and Roland le Fèvre on Synths. All these people contributed to the forming of Mind:Soul and what it is now. The band has taken to the Dutch stages and created a name for themself that stands for quality, energy and technical skill. The band will be released their debut-album “The Way It Should Be” at the end of 2013 and will be using 2014 to play as many shows as they can to spread their musical vision out to whoever wants to hear it.

Mind:Soul’s music stands for emotional intensity combined with technical eruptions and a good dose of energy. This music is not for everyone, but both fans and haters will probably agree: “This is not the way that it should be” and the band loves it this way!
