Fans of music that is melodic, intense and genre changing can prepare themselves, as the newest TDW album and official soundtrack for the multimedia project Bane of the Talebearer is slated for release through Layered Reality Productions on the 29th of May 2026!
An album that is completely different than anything TDW has ever done so far in that it is a soundtrack that underlines the grand “Bane of the Talebearer” project.
Tom had the following to say when asked about the how and why of this album:
“This record is a complete departure from albums I made in the past and that is very much on purpose. This started as a side project in which I wanted to explore my love for soundtracks and different music outside of my normal (between grand parenthesis) style. This project exploded in my face and now it’s an endeavour featuring artists from 12 countries, 30 musicians contributing and a whole lot of more exciting things happening. Dropping this album is only the start and I can’t wait to have you all join me on this journey!”
The album will be released in a triple CD box, on a wooden USB stick (featuring the album in mp3 and wave formats) and on selected streaming services. Also on this day, an artbook will be released which is the perfect companion piece to this album. (Book and album sold seperately)
